2nd year assignment project at AIE Adelaide focussing on modularity in environment assets. Project completed as a 4-person group with my focus being on producing all but one of the vegetation assets. Overall aesthetic was intended to be stylised realism with a fairly high allowance for poly count and texture sizes. Workflow generally ran as a high-to-low modelling process, referencing real world plants studied in detail at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. High-poly models generally produced in Maya as subdivision-modelled parts with photogrammetry via Agisoft Metashape used for some stems and ground textures. SpeedTree was used for generating the base branches and stem of the Annatto Tree asset. Texture sets baked via Substance Painter as with remaining texturing. Photoshop used for final touch-ups, generating tiling textures, partial real-world photo overlays to diffuse textures and producing SSS maps.
